Big thanks to everyone who attended the Old Fashioned Talent Show or the Dance Saturday night. We had a great time and made over $2300. Keep up the great work, everyone!
We're still selling tickets on the Mother's Day basket and the handmade quilt featuring the kids' artwork. Keep an eye out for us at the Stephenville Mall on Saturday or contact a committee member to get tickets. If you're reading this from away, you can send in a donation through PayPal and specify in a message that you would like to buy tickets.
Draw dates are May 13th for the Mother's Day basket and June 9th for the quilt.
Bridging the Gap
Cape St. George "LET THEM BE KIDS" is a volunteer, non-profit organization created to build community capacity on the grassroots level; while building playgrounds, skate parks and fitness parks across Canada. These projects leave a legacy of community members who are inspired and better equipped to lay a strong foundation for a brighter tomorrow.

Old Fashioned Variety Show & Adult Dance to Follow
Tomorrow night is the Old Fashioned Variety Show and Adult Dance. This is a major fundraiser for the project and build day is fast approaching so I hope to see many many bums in seats!
The variety show will take place in the Our Lady of the Cape Gym and the dance will be across the road at the Centre des Terre-Neuviens français. Here are the details:

- Admission: $5.00 per person (Donations of choice will be accepted as well)

Fundraising benches | Bancs à vendre
Our quotes are in and the committee is now aiming to raise 50000$ to build the playground that the kids want with all the bells and whistles. 6000$ of that amount will need to be raised from within the community. Keep an ear out for fundraising activities and for the committee members knocking on your door!
As part of this effort, we are offering the opportunity to name park benches. A gift of 250$ (bench) or 500$ (bench with table)gets your name(or the name of a loved one) permanently inscribed in the bench. Families are welcome to pool their so they can get in on being part of the project.
Donations are tax-deductible and we are also accepting donations in memory of a loved one.

Une belle initiative est de vendre les bancs à être installés dans le parc. Un don de 250$ (un banc) ou de 500$ (un banc avec une table) vous assure une inscription permanente de votre nom dans le parc. Quel honneur! Nous invotons les familles à unir leurs ressources pour faire un achat collectif.
